Harley-Davidson is not the stand to be missed at this year‰Ûªs Sydney Motorcycle Show.
Visitors will see first hand the new 2010 models, one of the most expansive new-product
introductions in the history of the Motor Company to date, but they can experience the
ultimate Harley-Davidson Drag Race without the track on the Dyno Drag simulator.
A life-size, full throttle, Harley-Davidson Vrod motorcycle Drag simulator, the Dyno offers
riders of all levels of experience the opportunity to trial the unmatched thrill of a VRod
Harley-Davidson and take on arch rivals to compete for the crown of Sydney Motorcycle
Show‰Ûªs king of the (virtual) Drag Strip!
The Dyno is a drag simulator with two running Harley-Davidson Night Rods, each mounted
on a ‰Û÷dynometer‰Ûª. Set up in a stage like scenario and wired to a real drag light Christmas
tree which will allow riders to feel as if they‰Ûªre actually racing, yet in a safe, simulated time
trial. Actual functions such as being to manually hit full throttle or squeeze the brake,
ultimately allowing them the ability to sway freely along with the motion of the virtual road,
offers the full ride experience.
A Dyno competition will be running throughout each day of the show, where punters with
enough guts can aim for glory as they work their way through each round and up the daily
leader board. Harley-Davidson fans with the best times of the day will then go head to
head, in a final competition, for the best overall time ‰ÛÒ where winner takes all, including a
Harley-Davidson merchandise prize pack.
The opportunity to test ride the new 2010 H-D models, Fat Boy Lo, Dyna Wide Glide,
Electra Glide Ultra limited , Iron 883 and the XR1200X amongst others 15 in total will be
open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All riders are welcome; all they need is
their riding gear and bring their sobriety along for the ride.
Also at the Harley-Davidson stand, will be Australian stunt rider and Harley-Davidson
enthusiast Matt Mingay. Matt, who holds records for the fastest Stoppie at 211 kph, fastest
wheelie at 225 kph, and longest fastest burnout at 1650 metres in 110 seconds, will be
available for a number of exclusive signing sessions for Harley-Davidson fans.
A full
display of the 2010 Harley Davidson Models will also be on show. Appearances include
the Wide Glide, the Iron 883, the Fat Boy Lo and the much anticipated XR1200X.
The V Rod Drag Simulator, as well as other Harley extras will be at the Sydney Expo from
November 20th until November 22nd.
