Honda's Ben Grabham has produced another dominant display to increase his lead in the motorbike section of Australian Safari, as competitors travelled between the West Australian towns of Fitzroy Crossing and Broome.
Grabham, from Bathurst, won two of the three stages in today's 257km leg, extending his lead over Broken Hill's Adrian Channing to seven minutes and 17 seconds.
The event's youngest competitor, Condobolin rider Jacob Smith, just 18, collected the final stage of the day by 12 seconds from Grabham, to move into third place overall, 8 minutes and 8 seconds behind the leader and just 51 seconds adrift of second-placed Channing.
Grabham, on board a Honda CRFX, started the day with a one minute 13 second lead, and has now sits on an overall time of three hours 37 minute and 51 seconds.
He is aiming to win the Safari title on debut, after victories in this year's Hattah and Finke races, and another top placing in the NSW Condo 750.
"Overall I had a good day, " Grabham said.
"It‰Ûªs good to stay in front. I'm not doing anything silly.‰Û
