Glenn Kearney Confident Of More Top Results For Husqvrana in SA

The new look Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team will look to continue its stellar start to the season when this year's Australian Off-Road Championship resumes in South Australia this weekend.

Team Manager and E3 class rider Glenn Kearney has led the way for the team on his FE 501, leading his category with five class wins and a second placing, and holding an impressive third outright at the halfway point of the series.

‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs been seven weeks since the last AORC round and it was a good chance for our mechanic Christian to get caught up and ahead ready for this next period of racing." Kearney explained. "It‰Ûªs all back to back now with Hattah and the 4-day.

"For me I‰Ûªm 100% fit and healthy and just looking forward to getting back into it. The goal‰Ûªs the same for this second half of the season; try to be the top guy and on the top team. We‰Ûªre this far in and only just out of the lead, so anything can happen, so we‰Ûªll just keep focusing on being consistent.

"Everyone's worked real hard and just having good product and good people behind us makes it a lot easier. Our sponsors are all quality products and it all combines and makes it fairly straightforward. As long as we perform on race day everything works.‰Û

Lachlan Stanford may head to head with the big boys in the premier E2 class, but he has still made an impact, sitting fourth in class and an impressive fifth in overall AORC.

‰ÛÏI feel super ready, I've been putting in a huge effort, not just riding heaps, but off the bike training pretty much every night." Stanford said. "I got to catch up with Danny Apro and do some testing down in Canberra, so I'm really confident coming into this next round.

"We‰Ûªre coming into a couple of sand races, with Hattah as well, so I just wanted to get really strong and fit. We‰Ûªre pretty close to a Hattah setting now, and I think I‰Ûªve got a decent setting for this next round in the sand.

"I like Penola. Last year I was top-five at the start of the day, but I got slower during the day as the track got really rough, so hopefully I‰Ûªve made some changes that will fix that.‰Û
