Another aspect to Reliability Trials is the sidecar class. 15 sidecars are set to start, one of the largest sidecar fields in recent years. Last year‰Ûªs Sidecar Class Series winners, 20 year old twins Max and Sam Hutchesson will line up again looking to win their class after a 2nd place in 2011.
There is also a supporting Rally class who only do the first lap, all of which is in daylight. 25 riders have entered this class, many of whom have never ridden a Reliability Trial. Some just want to try the discipline out before committing to ride the big one, round four of the series, The Swan Insurance 24hr Reliability Trial.
Spectators will be in for a treat with the final Special Test of each lap being run through the Marrabel Rodeo Grounds. A number of jumps and obstacles have been constructed in the section making for some serious action.
This is sure to offer some spills and thrills as riders try to beat the clock and put on a show for the spectators. The event will run well into the evening making for some spectacular cross-country night racing.
Spectator entry is free. Food and drinks will be available at the rodeo grounds and the party like atmosphere of the GMCC event is bound to run well into the evening.
