The 17-year-old is testing with the team today and will go into the second round at Gillman,
SA, this Sunday with a good chance of making a top ten finish going on his current form. Dale
has been staring in his home state of Queensland where he leads the Pro Lites class in the
Queensland Sunshine State Series.
"My aim is to go out there and keep my head straight during the races, and try not to crash," said Dale.
"I've made myself a goal of finishing in the top 10, though I haven't seen the guys riding
this year or ridden at Gillman myself.
"I'll be up against some pretty big names, and the competition will be very tough.
"I've ridden alongside Matt Moss (CDR Team-mate) pretty much my whole life being the same age,
we're good friends and have had some great battles coming up through the ranks.
"It's a great opportunity and I'm looking to make the most of it," Dale added.
Team Principal Craig Dack said he welcomed the late inclusion of Dale into the lineup.
"I'm more than happy to be giving such a young talent an opportunity at the highest level of
motocross racing," said Dack.
"He is a star of Yamaha in Queensland and he should really do quite well in this competition.
Whilst Dale's race results have come from the Pro Lites ranks, his current sponsor, Tam Paul, dealer
Principal of Queensland's Griffin Motorcycles (Pro Motorcycle Group) says that he is extremely fast on
the bigger bikes and will definatly not be out classed in his Pro Open debut. "He gets of the line as
good as anyone and i would not be at all surprised if he gets at least one holeshot," Paul said.
"We are pretty happy for him, he is a great kid and worked hard to get a shot. He has great speed and if
he stays settled i think he will surprise quite a few people," he added.
