At midday (12.00pm) tomorrow some of the world‰Ûªs best motorcycle racers will put Newcastle‰Ûªs 940m purpose built dirt/tar combination track to the test ahead of this weekend‰Ûªs opening round of the FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship.

Competitors from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, United States of America, Spain, France, New Zealand, Taiwan and Australia have converged on the iconic NSW regional centre for the event, which includes the running of the Watson Demolition Newcastle City SuperMoto.

Spectator entry is free and the foreshore location will provide an incredible backdrop for the world-class racing. In addition to the full program of racing, the event will deliver entertainment options for the whole family.

The Australian round of the FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship has been secured for Newcastle for the next three years, through the NSW Government‰Ûªs tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
