Wilson Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki‰Ûªs Todd Waters and Luke Wilson have taken the positives from the weekend and will carry those in to the Grand Finale at Coolum, despite mixed results at Round 9 of the Motul MX Nationals at Toowoomba in Queensland.
Both Wilson and Waters headed to the round at Toowoomba high on confidence after recently having track time at the Echo Valley venue, however the circuit formed up to be hard pack and slick today, forcing both Suzuki riders to adjust to the differing conditions.
For championship contender Waters, Round 9 saw a theme of fourth placed race results. After collecting fifth in GoPro Superpole this morning with a 1:48.496 lap time, Waters raced to fourth in race one, and then finished in the same position in the second 30-minute moto, to conclude the round just shy of the the Thor MX1 podium, in fourth overall.
