Australia's female freestyle motocross luminary Emma McFerran has joined the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team under a multi-year agreement that will see the 24-year-old assume a full program of events over the coming months.
McFerrran has taken possession of one of the team‰Ûªs factory Honda CRF250‰Ûªs and has returned to riding after nearly four months sidelined to recover from a wrist injury, sustained when she crashed during a demonstration jump earlier this year.
The Victorian, who has been developing her trick repertoire, will make her debut for the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team during the four-round Australian Supercross Championship that commences in Dubbo on October 13.
As a full-time member of the championship winning team, McFerran will not only have access to Crew Chief Mike Landman and his team of mechanics, but will also work closely with riders Ben Townley and Ford Dale across a range of sponsor and media activities.
McFerran said she is looking forward to being able to focus on progressing her tricks and growing her profile as Australia‰Ûªs leading female FMX rider.
