DPH Motorsport Carry Top Ten Form Over To WA

Posted:

DPH Motorsport Yamaha Racing have proved they have what it takes to run at the front after gaining some impressive results at Murray Bridge on the weekend.

With the track at Murray Bridge expected to be sandy leading into the weekend, both DPH pilots Kade Mosig and Sam Martin felt well prepared coming from a sand based background.

Qualifying saw both riders get round four to a flying start on a track that surprisingly became hard pack after only a few laps. Martin taking sixth gate pick, and Mosig taking seventh.

In moto one both boys unfortunately suffered some bad luck off the start, putting them both at the back of the pack after the first lap. However Mosig recovered to put in a solid charge to take 10th position, and Martin also making a number of passes to get back to 12th from close to last.

In moto two, Mosig was out of the gate fast and after ten minutes was comfortable in fifth position. At the halfway mark Mosig put the pressure on series leader Matt Moss and grabbed fourth, before a small mistake lost him the position, finishing the race in fifth. Martin gained a better start, and by the conclusion of the moto finished comfortably in 8th handing the team another top ten finish.

Murray Bridge provided the team with yet another consistent result Martin finishing the day with a 10th overall and Mosig with a 6th, proving again that this privateer team is force to be reckoned with.

‰ÛÏI started off the day pretty good, I got 7th in qualifying which is my best qualifying result so far this year so I was pretty happy with that, but I would love to get into Superpole." Mosig stated.

‰ÛÏFirst moto I went down, and after that I knew that race was going to be really hard, so I just knuckled down and passed as many riders as I could and salvaged as many points as I could.

‰ÛÏMy lap times in that race were really good, and I was feeling really fast on the bike so I was still happy with that.

‰ÛÏSecond moto I didn‰Ûªt get the best start, I was sitting in about eighth and I just knew that if I wanted to get up there I had to knuckle down and get the job done.

‰ÛÏI was pushing pretty hard and I just landed wrong off a jump and hurt myself a bit ‰ÛÒ So I just gritted my teeth and ended up getting a fifth which I was happy with.‰Û

Sam Martin was happy with his top ten overall result.

‰ÛÏI feel like I went a lot better this week ‰ÛÒ first race I had some bike problems, the clutch adjuster had snapped so I didn‰Ûªt really have much clutch that whole race,‰Û
