After founding DBW (Dirtbike World), Australia’s largest dirtbike forum, in 2000 and being the driving force behind the site for nearly 10 years, Drew Puddy has sold his 50 per cent share of www.dirtbikeworld.net to his business partner, Lee Pearsall of Main Jet Motorcycles.
“Drew has decided to get out from behind the computer and pursue other directions in his life. But don’t expect him to disappear — he will no doubt be seen posting on DBW from time to time, as he is far from stepping away from dirtbikes and continues to work at Bolton Motorcycles KTM. We wish him all the best in his future pursuits, as both he and DBW have been a landmark of the motorcycle industry over the last decade,” said new owner Pearsall.
“DBW will not undergo any major changes with Drew leaving. In fact, it will continue in the direction it always has, remaining a G-rated public community for like-minded dirtbike riders. Our main focus for the rest of 2009 will be on offering more promotions, discounts and giveaways for Club Mud members to give them even better value for their membership, expanding the range of merchandise, speeding up site download times by cleaning up the backend software, and tweaking the layout and functionality of the site to be more user-friendly for both new and current members,” Pearsall concluded.
