The news was given to us today by an excited and relieved Lee Redmond, team manager of Redmond Motorsport.
"We are really pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Graeme Hines from Honda WA that will see our team riding Honda's in 2008.
"I have worked really hard to put this team together and am elated with the outcome we have reached. It was my preference to see Dizzy on a Honda since he won the championship on a red bike in 2005 and 2006. This will give us a real shot at the number one plate in 2008.
"Our riders will ride underneath the 'Honda WA' banner and Dizzy will pilot the brand new CRF450R alongside
Ben Hothersall with valuable support from Chris Cameron at Honda Country in Rockingham."
We caught up with Dizzy earlier today and asked him what he thought of the news.
"I am really stoked to be back onboard a Honda. As you know I won the WAMX Championship in 2005 and 2006 on the CRF450R and am looking forward to regaining the number one plate for Redmond Motorsport in 2008.
"I was on track to retain my title this year, but as you know a couple of injuries have forced me to sit out the remainder of the Championship. I am recovering well since surgery and I really can‰Ûªt wait to ride the brand new 2008 Honda CRF450R."
