Casey Cochran will miss the opening round of the 250SX East Division after sustaining a fractured collarbone in a training crash just days out from the Arlington season-opener.
The 19-year-old fell while practising at Baker’s Factory on Tuesday, delaying the start of his 2026 AMA Supercross Championship campaign.
Cochran had been preparing for his first full SMX World Championship season in 2026 and entered the year off the back of what the team described as a strong and productive off-season. However, the pre-season setback has ruled him out of Round 1 of the Eastern Division, with further details on a return timeline to be confirmed once available.
“We had a great off-season, and I was super-excited to line up to race this weekend in Arlington,” Cochran said. “Unfortunately, a practice crash will hinder the start of the season, but we’ll be back out on track soon.”

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager Nathan Ramsey explained that the incident occurred during a routine training session and admitted the timing was tough to take, especially given the work Cochran had put in over the break.
“Casey ended up crashing at Baker’s Factory on Tuesday and fracturing his collarbone,” Ramsey said. “It’s definitely a hard pill to swallow as he had a great off-season where he completed the process of getting ready to compete to a tee – he put in the work and was very excited and ready to go race. This will be a small bump in the road for Casey, and he will be back out there showing what he is capable of as soon as possible.”
With Cochran sidelined for Arlington, new Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing recruit Daxton Bennick is set to make his team debut this Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Texas, as the 250SX East season gets underway.
