Australian International Speedway star Jason Crump collected 13 valuable points after finishing fourth overall at the Czech Grand Prix held in Prague last Saturday night (28 May).
Crump, still not 100% fit from his horrific crash in Sweden two weeks ago, produced his best results so far this season and remains well and truly in contention as he moved up the ladder from 12th overall to eighth position in the World Championship chase.
"I must thank the Lindkoping Ice Hockey Team in Sweden for all their help in getting me back on track." said the triple World Champion. "Although I'm still not fully fit, their help in my recovery process is greatly appreciated."
"I am pleased with my performance tonight and happy that I made it to the final but I drew gate 3 in the final against Hancock, Gollob and Hampel and got clamped between the two Poles in the first turn and my chances were lost, Hancock had gone and won convincingly so congratulations to him on a great result."
"I have spent a lot of time testing different engines and settings and feel we have made some progress so it's good to be moving forward. There is still a long way to go in the series and I have a lot of hard work ahead of me. My focus will be on one Grand Prix at a time and closing the gap on the leaders."
