Three times World Speedway Champion Jason Crump crashed heavily at the rain-soaked Swedish Grand Prix at Gothenburg Saturday 14 May.
The meeting was abandoned after 16 races as the heavy rain which had lashed the meeting all evening rendered track conditions and visibility too poor to continue.
Crump had won his first two rides convincingly before the horrific crash in heat 10 which saw the Australian landing heavily on his right shoulder and unable to take further part in the meeting.
Doctors attended to Crump in the medical centre before transferring him by ambulance to hospital for x-rays for a suspected broken collarbone.
The meeting was declared after 16 heats with fellow Australian Chris Holder declared the winner with 10 points while series leader Tomasz Gollob added just 6 points to his tally.
Crump, likely to miss his league meetings in Sweden and Poland, now has less than two weeks to recover before the next round at Prague in the Czech Republic on 28 May.
