For a rider who has 16 world speedway victories to his credit, Jason Crump is certainly well versed at taking his place at the top of the dais. However, that rapturous feeling has eluded the Northampton-based Australian since round six of last year‰Ûªs world title ‰ÛÒ his most barren run of outs in four years.
It‰Ûªs not that the Crump has been uncompetitive ‰ÛÒ he‰Ûªs still made the final in three of the last six GPs ‰ÛÒ but the dual world champion has just been unable to produce his creative best when it really matters. He‰Ûªs been falling over the line when he used to surge.
Now, ahead of this Saturday‰Ûªs round three of the 2007 world title in Sweden, Crump is confident that he‰Ûªs eliminated the technical issues which have been a major contributing factor to his dry spell.
‰ÛÏWe (the team) have been working overtime to eliminate the technical problems encountered at the last two GPs and I believe we have got it beat,‰Û
