The record books show that Jason Crump has finished on the podium at the last four Scandinavian Grands Prix while current championship leader Nicki Pedersen has failed to make the final on all four occasions.
So if statistics are anything to go by, then Crump who is chasing his second Grand Prix win of the year, the chase for the World Championship is well and truly on.
But for Crump, who is just one Grand Prix win away from equaling the number of Grand Prix wins set by six times World Speedway Champion Tony Rickardsson, the record books and statistics have little meaning.
