After a rehabilitation period of approximately six weeks, No Fear Honda's lead rider Craig Anderson will make his comeback
at this weekend's sixth round of the Maxxis Australian Motocross Championship at Penguin, Tasmania.
Ando broke his foot in a serious way during a hometown training session after round two in April, and on doctor's orders had
no choice but to sit out the next three rounds of the series while recuperating in plaster.
During that time, the multiple Champion was able to continue a tough regime of physical training including swimming and weight
training. Since having his cast taken off eight days ago, he has been putting in as many hours as possible on his race prepped
CRF450R.
"I am feeling really great," Ando said. "Obviously I'm not at 100% just yet but I am confident I can still get a good result
this weekend. Nothing can get you back to full fitness quite the same as actually going out racing."
Anderson showed all the signs of being the man to beat at the first two rounds in which he competed, taking away three out of
four race wins prior to his season hampering injury.
He currently sits in 8th position on the Championship ladder, and although his chances of a series podium finish are slight on
93 points, the 27 year old rider is still extremely focused.
"I just want to get out and ride at this point. It doesn't really matter where I'm at with the points but that doesn't mean
I won't be trying to win every moto if I can.‰Û
