Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP rider Clement Desalle won all three races at Sunday‰Ûªs Mantova Starcross International motocross in Italy.
The 25-year-old Belgian, coming back from a wrist injury, showed that he's on the pace for the 2015 MXGP season opener next weekend in Doha, Qatar ‰ÛÒ and following his second position at the Hawkstone Park and a double-race victory in the Valence Internationals in the UK and France over the past two weekends.
The event held in northern Italy, was run as a three-heat format where MXGP and MX2 classes raced together. Desalle and his RM-Z450 were quickest out of the gate all weekend, taking first position from the start and leading from start-to-finish, followed by Honda's Evgeny Bobryshev in all three races, with KTM mounted Ceriel Kromoff rounding out the MX1 podium.
In the MX2 standings it was World number one Jordi Tixier who lead the way ahead of Suzuki's Jeremy Seewer and KTM's Brian Rogers.
‰ÛÏThe track was OK even if there were some deep ruts, and it was a very good practice even if we won‰Ûªt find these conditions next weekend." Tixier commented. "I had a very bad start in the first race and came back from 15th to 5th, then I was unhappy with my second race but we changed some settings on the bike and the third heat was much better.
"I got a great start in third and had the same lap times as Bobryshev; I can‰Ûªt say that I‰Ûªm happy with my weekend as I struggled in the second race, but we again learnt something and that was better to race there than to practice alone‰Û
