Promoter Mark Avard has announced the classes that will be run at the Homebush Supermoto Spectacular,
along with the Trials and Mini Mania displays.
The premier classes will be the same as per usual with the :
S 1: 301cc + 2 stroke,451cc-701cc 4 stroke ,1 cyl and 17inch wheels only.
S.2: 201cc - 300cc 2 stroke,251cc-450cc 4 stroke 1 cyl 17 " wheels only.
S.3: up to 200cc 2 stroke,up to 250cc 4 stroke 1 cyl any wheels.
A full range of support classes will be catered for:
Clubman Challenge:
All Powers, any wheels or brakes ,this class is for the riders
Who race regularly or have raced supermoto before.
Novice challenge:
All Powers, any wheels or brakes, NO Experts,C-D graders or Riders are new to Supermoto racing.
Vet Class:
Real Vets here ,40 yrs or close to it, if you are 40+ this year, All Powers,
Any wheels or brakes. Come on out and dust off those old Leathers.
Juniors :
13 up to16yrs,up to 125cc 2 stroke,up to 250cc 4 stroke 1 cyl,No GP Bikes,
No wheel or brake restrictions .
Classes maybe combined if insufficient entries, we doubt it !!!
The Feature Class will be the State or Origin All Powers challenge:
This class is open to all competitors except juniors. The entry fee for this class will
Be an extra $30, this money will go to the prize pool for the Challenge paid back to 10th place.
Riders will get a minimum of 2 more races on the day: Heat race, Then a last chance qualifier.
If a rider makes the final cut, the challenge will be decided over 2 x 10 lap races. Where the top 3 riders points
from each state will determine the winning state.
This will be Round 2 of the 3 Round State of Origin challenge race series. Queensland took the win at Round 1 Coffs Harbor
3-4th April from NSW then VIC. So it will be on to see which state will be supreme at the Sydney International
Tennis Centre 25/7/04. Details of Round 3 will be announced shortly.
This will be an open event, so a full MA Licence is required to compete in this meeting.
Avard is also running a lead up meeting to this event at Oakburn Park Go-kart centre Tamworth (Jul 10/11) for riders to get a
taste for the racing action.
Up coming practice days will be 20/6/04 and 18/7/04 at Oran Park Nth to touch up those backing skills. Avard recently held a successful practice day at
Oran 23/5 with over 50 riders in attendance.
