Choice Motorsport KTM is ready to go racing this weekend at the opening round of the 2013 Monster Energy MX Nationals at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales.

Choice Motorsport KTM will take on the roll of advancing the professional careers of KTM riders racers Dylan Long and Kayne Lamont in 2013, with both riders stepping up from the MXD class in to the MX2 class in 2013.

Dylan Long a long time KTM rider, is looking forward to working with Choice Motorsport again in 2013 after racing to a second place finish in the MXD class with the team in 2012.

Though coming in to the season off the back of an interrupted pre season, Long has a clear achievable goal that he is looking to achieve in his first year in the Pro Ranks.

"I am feeling not to bad coming in to this season." Long stated. " Though I have not had the best of runs in the pre season with some sickness and an little injury but I am feeling not to bad at the moment.

"My goals are to finish inside the top 10, it's my first year I'm not expecting to win everything but I would love to and will be trying my hardest to win," he added.

New Zealand's Kayne Lamont was a stand out in 2012, winning the MXD championship riding both the KTM 250SX and KTM 250 SX-F during the season. This season will see Lamont move up to the MX2 class where he will ride the 250 SX-F for the entire season.

Lamont like Long has had an ideal lead up to the 2013 MX Nationals, Injuring his shoulder, which sidelined him from the New Zealand motocross championship that has just concluded.

Despite the set back, Lamont is ready to go racing in 2013, his shoulder is coming along well and the young Kiwi is excited to go racing this weekend.

"The shoulder is coming along well as I can lift it above my head now and able to do stuff in the gym to build the strength up." Lamont explained.

"For round one, I am expecting to get two solid results and just enjoy the new environment. I am looking forward to it for sure," he added with excitement.

"To race against the guys I was watching last year is going to be a good challenge for me but I can't wait!"

Manager of Choice Motorsports KTM Anthony Giles is excited to Have both Dylan and Kayne, the current 1-2 MXD Class riders on the team, giving them the opportunity to advance to the MX2 class with KTM.

"Supporting the younger riders in advancing their professional careers in the sport is important to both our team and to KTM Australia," explained Giles.

"We as a team are looking forward to Dylan & Kayne both Having a positive start to the 2013 MX National series this weekend at Raymond Terrace," he added.
