The round 1 mud bath threw up mixed results for the team who battled valiantly against the odds and elements.
Cheyne Boyd fought hard for a fourth-place finish and is pleased to be feeling comfortable and confident on his Open class weapon once more.
"I was fairly happy with my result last weekend, I just have to keep maintaining what I am doing," said Boyd.
"The bike is great and I am feeling good so I feel like I am at one with the bike again.
"We have the survival format this weekend so I have been doing a lot of practice starts this week," he continued.
Todd Waters finished seventh in last Saturday's adverse conditions and headed north to the Gold Coast during the week to ensure he could spend some time riding along with off-bike training.
"The weather was better on the Gold Coast so I headed up there to get in a few days of riding ahead of what looks like another wet weekend coming up," said Waters.
"Starts are important, but keeping out of trouble the first few laps are as equally important, that is where I stuffed myself up last weekend.
"I felt like I rode well and came back through the pack cleanly.
"Everyone at the team has been working hard and the bikes are feeling great," he said.
Michael Phillips will also line-up with support from the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing Team, an impressive motocross season prompted the team to continue their support of the New Zealander throughout Super X Championship.
Boyd, Waters and Phillips will face the unforgiving Survival format at Wollongong, where a 20-rider field will fight to avoid elimination over four 5-lap races. The final remaining 5 riders will battle it out for podium placings and the top points-paying positions.
The team's new Lites rider Gavin Faith felt the full wrath of Melbourne's weather last weekend and focused on fitness training during the week when it was still too wet to ride.
"It continued to rain so the first two days I just did some cardio training. I was finally able to ride yesterday and we did some more testing of the race bike," explained Faith.
"Everything is feeling good I am more comfortable on the bike and looking forward to some better conditions in Wollongong. I have never raced this format before but it should be fun - the key to good overall will be consistency.
"Starts are also going to be extremely important, thankfully that is one of my strong points and is an area I have focused on this week," he said.
Three 6-lap races will make up the Triple Header format raced by Lites riders this weekend.
