Bradley Buckle was the dominant figure during the fifth and penultimate round of the AMCROSS Series, natural terrain motocross, over the weekend (September 1 - 2) in the Riverina District township of Leeton.
Buckle recorded success in both the 250cc 4-stroke Group 1 and Over 250cc 4-stroke classes. In the 250cc 4-stroke Group 1 Buckle scored a clean sweep of wins, whilst in the Over 250cc 4-stroke he claimed two out of the three race wins, and finished second in the race he didn't end up winning.
Youngster Jake Ridley (85cc 2-stroke 14 to under 15 years) was one of the standouts for the weekend when he took home three straight wins leaving him finishing on a perfect 75 points. The other dominant winners throughout the weekend were Brook Mitchell captivating wins in all three races in her class (125cc 2-stroke) and Byron Peet who also won all three races in the 250cc 4-stroke Group 2 class.
Other senior class winners over the weekend included Dean Hanger (250cc and Over 2-stroke) with two consecutive victories in race one and two and a second place in race three, Gemma Fennell (Ladies) brought home two second place finishes and a victory over her three races. Mal Cash (All Powers - A and B Grade), Mark Schmidt (Over 35s) and James Crump (Over 45s) rounded out the senior class winners.
Junior winners in their respective classes was Lenny Magyar (85cc 2-stroke 9 to under 11 years), Tayla Jones (65cc 2-stroke 10 to under 12 years), Elias Dukes (65cc 2-stroke 7 to under 9 years), Lachlan Terry (85cc 2-stroke 12 to under 13 years), Brent Dean (125cc 2-stroke 13 to under 15 years) and Luke Ross (250cc 4-stroke 13 to under 15 years).
The sixth and final round for the AMCROSS Series will be held in Cooma on October 6 - 7
