Brock Winston has confirmed that he will join the Choice Motorsports KTM team for the remainder of the season after the team parted ways with Dylan Long after the Broadford round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals on the weekend.

With a podium result to his name already in the MX2 class this season and currently sitting in third spot overall in the MX2 Championship standings, Winston has been a rider that really been a revelation early in 2013.

After receiving a phone call on Monday from Choice Motorsports Anthony Giles, Winston has spent the week organising everything he needed, to make the switch from privateer to Factory supported rider for the remainder of the Motocross season.

"I feel relieved and really excited about not having to worry about getting to the races any more, it is a huge help," Winston told Fullnoise.com.au this afternoon. "I will be making the most of the opportunity I've been given.

"After Broadford I got a phone call from Anthony Giles and he offered the ride to me and the extra support means the world to me at the moment. I was finding it tough to make it to the races and get everything done on race day myself.

At this point in time there are no plans to make any drastic changes to his race bike in the lead up to next weekends round at Conondale, with the Queenslander planning on spending time with his new team during the six week break after Conondale working on developing a race bike.

"I am pretty much sticking with what I have got for Conondale, but the team will totally go over the bike and make it a proper race bike going forward." Winston continued. "Then in the six week break we will do some testing and try to make some improvements.

"I will also have a mechanic and team support at the race also."

While Winston is more than a little excited about the opportunity that lies ahead, he also is very appreciative of those who have supported him in the early part of the 2013 race season.

Without the support from some loyal sponsors, friends and family, his results to date would not have been possible, which is something that is not lost on Winston.

"I have had some really good people behind me this year and we were getting it done, so its hard to walk away from that and not leave anybody disappointed but we all talked through it and know that the decision we made was my best choice," Winston explained.

"It really just goes to show how great the guys were behind me for supporting my move to Choice Motorsports KTM.

"I really have to say a huge thank you to, Alias, M2rR, Dragon, Asterik, Kustom MX, Motorex, a1 Accessories, LKI, CMR KTM, Pro Motorcycles and Threesix motorsports, who have been great sponsors.

"Then there is also the people who made everything possible in, Damien Ballinger, Aj Roberts, Tam Paul, Cannon Smith, Jason Daniels, Jason Rogers and Paul Peterson, who have been behind me 100%.

"I must also give both Jeff Lesik and Anthony Giles and big thanks for giving me this opportunity." Winston concluded.

At this point in time were are awaiting to here what Dylan Longs plans for the rest of the season are, though we told that he is currently looking for support to finish the season.
