The 2015 CMRC Canadian Motocross National series moved to the East Coast last weekend as the series tackled the Riverglade MX track near Moncton, New Brunswick on Sunday the 2nd of August.
Australian Brett Metcalfe racing for the Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team looked to put in a solid result heading into the round just 17 points down on championship lead, American Matt Georke
Metcalfe started things the day well by qualifying in 2nd position before grabbing a 6th place start in moto one and was working his way to the front when a mechanical issue knocked him out of the moto and put a huge dent in his championship asperations.
He bounced back in moto two to grab 5th place the days overall result moved him down to 3rd in the championship standings and 52 points behind leader Georke with just two rounds of the championship remaining.
Canadian Colton Facciotti won the round ahead of Cole Thompson to move into second position in the championship, 23 points down on Goerke who rounded out the podium for round 8.
The ninth round of the championship heads to Walton Raceway this Sunday the 9th of August.
