The Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Yamaha race team will bank a heap of experience from its trip to Wonthaggi for the third round of the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals.
Rider Tye Simmonds was riding hurt after a practice crash during the week but the team was upbeat about its chances going into the round. Unfortunately, bad starts dogged the day again and Tye found it tough to fight through the pack as big names dropped back or off their bikes all around him.
With moto scores of 11 and 9 the team feels it was a missed opportunity and will head back to Newcastle for more testing and further development of the brilliant YZ450F.
During the week team principle Craig Anderson will also be working with Tye to find more intensity and speed out of the gate.
