The 2025 Australian Supercross Championship is set to roar into action with a bang, unveiling what organisers are calling the most dynamic and technically ambitious track in series history.
Held at Kayo Stadium, the season opener will transform the entire 9,000m² venue into a full-scale US-standard Supercross battleground. The layout is the work of leading Australian track builders Protraxx, who will oversee the design and construction of all tracks throughout the 2025 championship to ensure consistency and world-class execution.
For Redcliffe, the team is going all out. Over 6,000 tonnes of locally sourced topsoil—specially selected to improve on 2024’s surface—will be trucked in to form the backbone of a layout featuring a sweeping left-hand first turn, four technical rhythm sections, and a signature Over-Under Bridge that adds elevation and spectacle without slowing lap times.
“This is one of our most ambitious builds yet — fast, technical, and built to ensure side-by-side, intense racing,” said Josh Proctor, Director of Protraxx. “We’ve added new sections and elevated the layout in ways fans haven’t seen before — it’s going to test riders to the maximum, from the first gate drop.”
The 2024 Redcliffe round delivered some of the closest and most unpredictable racing in recent memory, and organisers are determined to raise the bar again. “We’re not just building a track — we’re building an experience,” said Mick Sinclair, Head of Motorsport & Partnerships. “This layout is about bringing fans even closer to the action and launching the season with something unforgettable.”
Among the standout features of the Moreton Bay layout are five tight 180-degree bowl turns designed to promote aggressive overtaking, a triple jump placed directly in front of premium seating for maximum fan engagement, and a gruelling 10-whoop mid-track section sure to challenge even the fittest riders deep into each main event.
With an elevated viewing experience and grandstands closer than ever to the action, the Moreton Bay double-header is shaping up as a must-see curtain raiser to the 2025 AUSX season.
