Following news of a single superbike championship class in 2014, Motorcycling Australia (MA) have confirmed that they will release the supplementary regulations to be available at the World Superbike Championship round at Phillip Island next week.
Motorcycling Australia President, Stephen Foody said he still expects the championship will produce the finest road racing in Australia and on behalf of MA apologised for the late announcement of the championship.
‰ÛÏPositive changes in 2014 include the appointment of Peter Doyle by Motorcycling Australia who will become the championship‰Ûªs dedicated Technical Officer guaranteeing fairness of competition across the championship." Foody explained.
‰ÛÏPeter will also work alongside technical staff and commissions across all disciplines, improving relations with riders and manufacturers and being on the ground to help facilitate discussions about the future ‰ÛÒ an important factor for all competitors.
‰ÛÏWe could not have hoped for a better person to fill this role considering his vast experience as a rider, team member and manager at Grand Prix, World Superbike and AMA Superbike championship level.‰Û
