Aussie’s pump at the New Zealand Mini Nationals

Posted:

Australian's Jesse Dobson and Hayden Melross kept the Kiwi's on their game at last weeks New Zealand's Leatt New Zealand Junior Motocross Championships which were held at Bartlett‰Ûªs Creek, near Blenheim.

The track was fast in 5th and 6th gear, with 2 minute 30 second long laps and 5 eighteen minute motos flat out which was a real test for the Aussie duo.

Young Jesse Dobson with his first ever race on a 125 was thrown into the deep end with bad starts in all five motos. The Queenslander was also suffering with a broken little finger from the previous week racing the NSW titles, where he took the round win.

Dobson fought his way through the pack and was battling in the top three, however a few mistakes sent him back to 5th place overall.

Jesse said, "The racing was fast and there was no time for error as you would loose a big gap. The Kiwi's were so nice and real helpfull". A big thankyou goes to KTM NZ, Shane King, No Fear, Matt Watson Racing , Campbell minning and the Smith family.

Hayden Melross was to ride two classes the 125cc and 250F, however opted to do the 250F only as his races were back to back. He also did really well by placing 3rd overall.

Hayden and Jesse would like to thank all the Kiwi's for a great time.
