Aussie rider Brock Fayle has secured a start in two classes at the 2011 AMA Amateur Loretta Lynn's National to be held in August, at the Loretta Lynn's Ranch, Tennessee, USA.
Fayle has been living in the US at Millsaps Training Facility, GA since the beginning of 2010. Over the past three months he has been racing at qualifying races for the Loretta's along the East Coast of America and broke through this weekend at Gatorback MX Park, Florida. He finished 3rd overall in the 450cc Modified Class and 5th overall in College Boy 17-24yrs also on a 450cc.
Twenty five thousand riders across the US compete for one of only 42 starting gate positions on offer in each class, at the AMA Amateur National Event.
"I have been working so hard for this," Fayle said. "It's a weight off my shoulders having qualified in 2 classes early. I've only been on a 450 for two weeks, so now it will give me plenty of time to get use to it.
"Last year I was lucky to qualify at my last chance race meet, in the 250cc Stock Class. I was carrying a shoulder injury and had no bike time. Things just didn't go right at National. I still manage 19th. Now I know what to expect, so I will be better prepared this time round.
"Over here at MTF, our whole year's training revolves around this race meet. If you win at the Loretta's your pretty much guaranteed to be signed by a team. Nearly all the top AMA riders won at the Loretta's." Brock concluded.
