Motorcycling Australia (MA) has announced the Australian Team line-up and Team Manager for the 2011 Junior Motocross World Championship to be held at Cingoli, Italy on 13-14 August.
Filling the role of Team Manager will be Mark Willingham, who has been in the role previously for the 2009 Junior Motocross World Championship and also the 2010 Oceania Motocross Championship.
Willingham will lead the following team of six riders:
125cc Class -
Errol Willis - NSW
Shaun Redhead - QLD
Reserve: Luke Clout - NSW
85cc Class -
Jesse Dobson - QLD
Wilson Todd - QLD
Reserve: Mitchell Evans - QLD
65cc Class -
Hunter Lawrence - QLD
Reece Rayner - QLD
Reserve: Callum Norton - VIC
Speaking following his appointment to the role, Willingham was thrilled with the opportunity to once again lead the Australian team and was hopeful of another strong Aussie result.
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to take on the role of Team Manager again," Willingham said.
"Australian Junior Motocross riders have performed extremely well on the world-stage previously - including Jay Wilson our first ever World Motocross Championship back in 2009 - and we certainly hope to continue that trend this year!
"Rider selection was tough as always, however we have a great team and I'm really looking forward to working with them all in the lead up to and at the event.
"It will be challenging heading to a foreign country where the language and culture is different, however most of the team have competed at events abroad before so no doubt will be looking forward to making the most of the event and representing their country in August."
