Kawasaki's Ashley Bates has continued on her winning way at the second round of the Go Girl's Women's Series at Reedy Creek, QLD, last Saturday night (Mar-10) under lights. Bates notched up three wins on the demanding but well prepared circuit to beat home current Queensland champion Tamra Gray. Gray had three consistent 2-2-2 finishes over the course of the night for the second overall, making light work of working her way through the A-grade field after some less than great starts. "I really enjoyed the racing on Saturday, and it's good to see the girls racing continue to grow, which is keeping me really motivated to keep on improving for the rest of the year," Gray said after the race. Gray's Queensland Yamaha Girls MX/City Yamaha team-mate Brooke Thiemann stepped up to the challenge, having a brilliant ride taking up the third spot overall with a 6-5-3 set of finishes. "I am stoked with tonight's result, it's my first podium result for the team. I am sure there are plenty more to come." An excited Thiemann beamed. Queensland BCP Honda rider and winner of the 2006 'Girls on The Gas' series Taylor Jones took a sensational victory in the Women‰Ûªs Junior Lites. Jones won all three motos for the day and in doing so, takes a commanding lead in the championship. "It's great to come away with my first win for the season," said an ecstatic Jones. "I'm happy to be off the 125cc and on the four stroke now. The Honda is working awesome." Taylor's hectic season continues with trying to wrap up the 'Go Girls' series along with defending her 'Girls on The Gas' crown later in the year. "I can't wait to get to wear the number 1 plate at the 'Girls on The Gas' competition this year. I know I'm going to have my work cut out this time but I've been training my butt off and I'm ready to go," said Jones. Results for Round 2 Go Girls Series
