Aprilia have held an official launch of their MXV4.5 Motocross bike at the Italian GP at Gallarate over the weekend
(Jun 12-13).
Three weeks after Thomas Traversini debut the twin cylinder bike at round 2 of the Italian Motocross
Championship at Castiglione del Lago the MXV 4.5 made its world motocross championship debut at the hands of Traversini
and Spaniard Javier Garcia Vico.
In its first outing on the world stage the bike that has been dubbed the "silent crosser", due to its extremely quite
exhaust system, scored a best result of 21st at the hands of Javier Garcia Vico.
Aprilia also introduced the MXV4.5 Supermoto team of French Duel Motocross World Champ
Fredric Bolley and compatriot Jerome Giraudo who will be campaigning in the S2 category at next weeks opening round
of the FIM World Supermoto Championship at Spa/Francorchamps,
while Max Manzo will compete on a 550cc version in S1 class.
