KTM Supermoto team refugee Thierry Van Den Bosch has signed with Aprilia for the 2006 World Supermotard Championship season. The agreement with the 31 year-old duel world champion from Agen in France, represents a springboard for Aprilia's goals of conquering the 2006 World Supermotard Championship to back up the Italian manufacturers 2004 debut championship with Jerome Giraudo. "I am extremely motivated to race for Aprilia," commented Van Den Bosh.. "The SXV is a great motorcycle, it is so different from all the others that I can't wait to start the season. I believe in the bi-cylinder a lot and I think it is the road to the future. Already, Aprilia has surprised everyone with her competitiveness in the first two years of racing. No one imagined that they would walk away as the world champion in the first year of racing. I see a confident and motivated team, I tried out the motorcycle, and I find it excellent‰Û_I'm sure we'll have a great season together." he added. "We are so proud Van Den Bosch ranks in our official racing team." said Aprilia Brand Director, Leo Francesco Mercanti. "It is just great. We are counting on him and the team at large to givee Aprilia a double win in the Supermotard World Championship. In a two years' time racing we have already won a World title. We have had two models since January hit the market and an impressive team headed Van Den Bosch will take us through a successful racing season." he concluded
