AORC final rounds to make the most of the long weekend

Posted:

Following the recent rescheduling of the final two rounds of the 2011 Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) Event Organisers, in conjunction with MA, have moved rounds nine and 10 of the Championship to be held at Sailsbury, NSW back one day to 2-3 October.

While 1-2 October presented the only option for the rescheduled AORC round, this has created an action-packed weekend of National Championships around the nation, with not one but four Championships scheduled, in addition to following on immediately from the Australasian Safari which wraps up the day before on 30 September.

With this in mind, organisers have decided to make the most of the long-weekend in NSW and have moved the event back one day, with Scrutineering and sign-on, now taking place on Saturday 1 October, with racing on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 October.

The remaining dates for the 2011 Yamaha AORC are as follows:
Rounds - Date - Location - Format
Rd 5 and 6 - 27-28 August - Callington SA - Sprint/Sprint
Rd 7 and 8 - 10-11 September - Mt Seaview NSW - Enduro/Enduro
Rd 9 and 10 - 2-3 October - Salisbury NSW - Cross Country/Sprint

Presentation will now be held on Monday evening at a venue TBA.
