It was time to celebrate at JCS Motorcycles (Perth W.A) last Tuesday evening 23rd March, when Lord Digby Jones, Triumphs chairman of its board, called in to present John & Judy Slehofer and their sons Tim and Nathan, with an award in recognition of being the number one Triumph dealer in Australia for 2009 and the number five in the World!
Lord Digby was in Australia as Business Ambassador for UK Trade & Investment, to hold talks with the W.A government, so Triumph thought it only fitting that Lord Digby spend an evening at JCS Motorcycles', and share some of his insights into British manufacturing, and about the global manufacturer that Triumph has become.
Lord Digby also spoke to the 70+ customers that were present on the night, about his involvement with Triumph and his role as chairman; he also presented a plaque to Mr. Evan Hunter, who is JCS's 2000th Triumph customer. Evan was also presented with his bike on the night, a Triumph Thunderbird, which was a gift from his wife.
That the night went ahead at all was due to the hard work of the JCS team, as the store was flooded out by the storms that lashed Perth the evening before.
