Australian Super Bike Championship runner and former Australian 'S2' Super Moto Champion Glenn Allerton will make a return to Super Moto competition on Sunday, February 25 at Oran Park Raceway (Narellan NSW) for the running of the 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem.
Due contract agreements with Honda Australia, 24-year-old Allerton was unable to participate in any Super Moto events in 2006 after claiming the Australian 'S2' Super Moto Championship the previous year, but he is really looking forward to making his return at the 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem.
"I simply cannot wait to get back into Super Moto competition as it's so much fun as it brings both road racing and Moto X into one, and with me being competitive in both disciplines it has contributed to my success in the class," enthused Allerton, who will ride a Honda CRF 450cc in the All Powers class.
"The 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem shapes up to be an exciting event and one I'm very much looking forward to, as it's going to be an action packed day for all motorcycle fans.
"It has been a while since I last raced in Super Moto and if I can be inside the top five, I'll be very happy, but it's not going to be an easy task with so many top Australian and International riders competed."
The 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem will not only feature Super Moto, but also Moto X, Freestyle Moto X, Enduro X, Mini Moto X, Stunt Riding, Moto Trials and Dirt Track, and Allerton is very much looking forward to the whole event.
"The concept of the 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem is fantastic, and I hope everyone comes out and supports this event, as it's a must for all fans of motorcycles," Allerton added.
