All is set to go for this weekends inaugural 2010 Australasian FX Motocross Championship (AMXC) at Victoria's Winton Raceway.
The motocross track, which is adjacent to toe road race circuit, has been prepped and is in top shape for the weekend and a good field of around 150 riders have already entered with more expected before the weekend.
"We went down to Winton's new MX circuit again on Saturday to see how track preparation was going after the rain, thankfully there was very little damage as part of the redesign of the track has seen the drainage greatly improved," promoter Terry ONeill said. "Still the huge amount of rain did hold up work on the track but everything will be100% finished everyone is very happy with the end result."
The event will also receive TV coverage with the announcement that it will be shown on Speedweek.
"We are very pleased to confirm that the Sunday AMX Championship will as previously announced receive four x 1/2 hour shows on the national free to air Sunday afternoon prime time Speedweek show on SBS and then followed up on the Thursday night SPEED channel 'Inside Speed' show and then on the Friday night Speedweek show also on SPEED," ONeill added.
"All classes on Sunday's AMX Championship will be featured in the championships TV coverage not just the Pro classes as we believe just as we do in road racing that all competitors on every class deserve a chance of promoting themselves and their sponsors.
Juniors will run on Saturday followed by the Senior classes on Sunday. Racing starts at 9.am each day.
