7plus and WSX.tv are joining forces to bring the 2023 Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) to fans across the globe.
The Seven Network is set to broadcast all rounds of the championship on 7plus, offering live and free coverage for Australian fans. The action gets underway up this Saturday, October 7th, with round one taking place at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, starting at 5.45 pm (AEST).
In an exciting development for international viewers, WSX.tv’s Freemium service will provide global access to the championship. The broadcast will not only feature racing but also exclusive AUSX content, including behind-the-scenes access and interviews, all bundled into a four-hour package.
Championship Director, Kelly Bailey, expressed her enthusiasm for the renewed partnership with Seven and the expanded reach it brings. “The Seven Network’s support and coverage in 2022 were incredible, and we’re delighted to have them on board again in 2023 as our broadcast partner,” said Bailey. “Being able to offer the entire championship LIVE & FREE is a huge win for fans – the more opportunities to showcase our electrifying sport, and incredible athletes, to more people, the better.”
Bailey further highlighted the championship’s international appeal, with 10% of riders hailing from abroad and a growing global fanbase. The partnership with WSX.tv offers a new way for international audiences to enjoy the event.
“With every Heat, LCQ, and Final across SX1, SX2, SX3 & the 85cc CR22 Cup covered in the live broadcast on 7plus and WSX.tv, the Australian Supercross Championship will reach more people than ever before in 2023,” added Bailey.
Seasoned Australian commentary duo, Lee Hogan and Danny Ham return with expert analysis and commentary provided by Kamryn Williams and two-time world champion, Chad Reed.
On the racing front, five-time defending SX1 champion, Justin Brayton, will be the one to watch in the main event, facing strong competition from last year’s podium finishers Matt Moss and Aaron Tanti. In the SX2 class, defending champion Max Anstie aims to go back-to-back, challenged by riders like Cole Thompson, Nathan Crawford, and Rhy Budd. The SX3 and 85cc classes boast a record number of entrants, promising fierce competition as the gates drop.
