Lake Macquarie Motorbike Club will be running the first motocross event on the NSW Open calendar on January 13th at the Awaba MVRG.
Summercross classes range from 50cc Nipper demonstration class through to the Pro Open class with prize money on offer for the Junior Lites class & up, with around 200 riders are set to compete over the 10 classes on the first weekend of competition for the year.
Racing will consist of 3 rounds of 5 lap races with a 40 gate start.
Entries officially closed at last mail Tuesday 8/1/13, however the club has decided to accept late entries provided grid for the class wanting to be entered is not full.
The 2Km motocross track is located along the Toronto exit off the F3 (Newcastle / Sydney freeway)
2013 is going another great year with Lakes hosting the Australian Post Classic MX Titles May 4th & 5th consisting of pre 1985, 1990 & evolution motocross bikes & not seen in NSW for some time, pre 1985 motocross sidecars, then the following weekend the club will host the Lake Macquarie Championships.
Lake Macquarie will also hold a round of the East Coast MX series on the 3rd & 4th of August for round six of the championship.
Spectator entry is free for this weekends race. Racing will consist of 3 rounds of 5 lap races with a 40 gate start and all are welcome to come & enjoy a great day of MX racing from 9:30am this Sunday.
