The cream of New South Wales (NSW) Long Track riders converged on the Blayney Showground, Blayney in Central Western of NSW, last Saturday (November 1) for the running of the NSW Long Track Championship for 2008.
As they say, the cream always rises to the top and the 2008 NSW Long Track Championship was certainly no different with the likes of
Luke Richards (Up to 450cc 4-stroke),
Jacob Richardson (250cc 4-stroke),
Grant Charnock (250cc 4-stroke),
Michael Kirkness (Over 450cc 4-stroke and 500cc 2-stroke), and
Michael Dyer (125cc 2-stroke) all going through their events with a perfect scorecard from the opening heat race right through to the final.
Kirkness and Dyer not only scored NSW Long Track Championship wins in their respective classes, but also placed on the podium with Kirkness third in the Up to 450cc 4-stroke class and Dyer third in the 250cc 4-stroke class.
Other NSW Long Track Championship class winners included Strider Horton (500cc), Corey and T. Banks (1100cc Dirt Track Sidecars), and
Darren Cafe and
Don Morris (1100cc Long Track Sidecars).
In the support classes wins were shared between:
Todd Kurtz (250cc 4-stroke Juniors),
Daniel Bealey (125cc Juniors),
Ben Cook (65cc Juniors),
Tom Lewis (85cc / 150cc Juniors 13 to Under 16 Years),
