Applications are now open for registration of racing numbers in the 2006 national motocross-supercross and road racing seasons.
Here‰Ûªs how it works. Firstly, all riders who intend to compete at a national level in 2006 have to submit applications ‰ÛÒ period.
In road racing, riders who finished from first to 10th in all the 2005 Australian Superbike Championship classes are free to
use that particular number (eg Jamie Stauffer No. 3 in Superbike), However, if they wish to compete on a different number
other than the one allocated (eg Jamie Stauffer No. 27 in Superbike), then an application must be made.
Moreover, for those who have previously reserved a number in a specific class (eg Joe Bloggs No. 54 in Superstock) and
would like to continue using it, they must reapply to keep it. In turn, those riders have priority over other competitors
requesting the same number.

In motocross and supercross, racing numbers 1-20 for the 2006 season have been allocated by aggregating points in both 2005 championships and calculating them as a percentage.

Competitors who are entitled to a number inside the top 20 can either contest 2006 with that number, or apply for a different
one outside the top 20.
Similar to road racing, riders who have previously reserved a number have priority over it in 2006.
Please note that Motorcycling Australia does not register numbers for junior riders. For all junior numbering, contact
