Fly Racing Evolution Racewear.
With the 2020 line FLY Racing racewear being unveiled this week, we take a look back on how the 2019 Evolution racewear functioned our thoughts on what turned out to be one of, if not the best sets of moto gear we have worn to date.
The Evolution racewear features two of FLY RACING's biggest selling points, their DST (Durable Stretch Technology) and the BOA closing technology that ensures the best fitting pair of pants you are likely to find.
To be honest I was a little worried when the Evolution gear first rocked up, I am not the slimmest build of a man, and feeling both the stretch material pants and jersey for the first time, I was not to sure how flattering this would look, or how much trouble I would be in just getting the gear on in the first place.
Starting with the pants, the material is certainly lightweight with plenty of venting, which is always a bonus no matter what the temperature is outside come mid moto.
While being a tighter stretch material, there is still plenty of room around the knees to accommodate knee braces, and having just switched over to the Asterisk Ultra Cell knee brace, I was interested to see how these pants both fitted around the knee and if the got caught up on the braces Velcro straps.
The pant has a silking smooth advanced Lycra liner, which proved to be sensational when sliding over knee braces, with nothing getting hooked up at all and while the pants certainly have a snug body-hugging feel where quite easy to put on.
Now if you are like me and have no hips or ass for your pants to set on, even once done up finding riding pants that don't start sliding down after a few rides is no easy task, but that is certainly not the case with the FLY Evolution race pant, and the majority of the thanks for that comes down to the BOA closure system.
Even after a few months of riding with these pants, I am more than happy with the way they fit and feel and most importantly stay up! The BOA technology really ensures the pants both fit and hold their shape around your hip, making for a perfect fit every time you put them on.
Like the pant, the Jersey is made from a stretch material, but with multiple panels coming together including the Multi-directional Lycra neck & shoulder panels and zero seam armpit, with seamless construction that prevents chafing to give a flexible fit, leaving you with a great fitting jersey.
Lightweight and very well vented, there is really nothing to fault with the Fly Evolution Jersey.
