Round two of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals roars to life this weekend at Appin Raceway, southwest of Sydney, with Yamaha Racing there in full force and looking to make their presence felt.
Each of the championship classes at the event have a dedicated Yamaha factory support team with CDR Yamaha handling the MX1 (450cc) duties, Serco Yamaha in MX2 (250cc) and Yamalube Yamaha Racing in MXD. This weekend they will also be joined by some members of the Yamaha Junior Racing Team as they will contest in the 125cc Rookies Cup.
An up and down day for the CDR Yamaha team at round one of the Horsham with Dean Ferris taking third place, highlighted with a moto win while Daniel Reardon came home in seventh with 4-9 results. Both riders admitted to making costly eras in the second moto which cost them a better result and the team has again emphasized the importance of consistency in this series and minimizing mistakes.
