Yamaha backs the future at Motul MX Development Series

Yamaha Motor Australia will support a number of emerging riders at this Sunday‰Ûªs opening round of the Motul MX Development Series at Tivoli in Queensland. The one day event will see the best junior and female riders from across Australia and New Zealand converge on the challenging Tivoli track which is located 25 kilometres from Brisbane. Heading up the list of Yamaha supported riders is dual World Women‰Ûªs Motocross Champion, Katherine Prumm who will compete in the Yamaha Australian Women‰Ûªs Championship against fellow ‰Û÷blue‰Ûª riders, Tamara Gray and Brooke Theirman. Along with taking victory while on international duty, New Zealander, Prumm won the 2007 Yamaha Australian Womens Motocross Championship and according to Cheryl Muldoon, Racing Coordinator from Yamaha Australia, it will be the first time individuals will see her compete on a YZ250F in Australia. ‰ÛÏAfter recently announcing a switch to Yamaha in 2008, this weekend will be the first Katherine [Prumm] has actually raced a YZ250F in front of an Aussie crowd,‰Û
