WRD-MX team manager Mike ward is proud of his teams early season form at the 2012 Shell Advance Sunshine state series.
With the teams two riders holding down podium positions over three classes, including the points lead in two of those classes, things are looking positive for the eight round series.
Nathan Crawford, despite a crash in race two at round two in the 13 to 14 years Lites class, was able to walk away from the day with third place overall and still maintain his points lead in the class. Yamaha mounted Crawford also finished the day with a 2-5-4 score card in the 13 to 15 Years 125cc class leaving him in third position in that division after the Bunderberg round.
Riding in the Senior class for WRD this season, Wade Hunter finished third for the round and with his consistent race finishes over the first two rounds, now sits atop the championship standings.
Team Owner, Mike Ward is impressed with the great start to the season the boys have made.
"So far, so good for both guys in WRD- MX," Ward says "It's hard to be upset when we are leading two classes and in
a podium position in another after the opening two rounds."
"As I mentioned to both guys, this is an eight round series and there is a
huge amount of work and racing laps to be done. We just need to keep
building momentum with each round," Ward concluded.
