Williams Event Management, the promoters of the Australian motocross championship, the MX Nationals has issued a statement his morning, apologising for the issues with the live timing issues that have frustrated MX fans around the country.

After experiencing a drop out in the Telstra 3G service at the opening round at Raymond Terrace, internet hackers then caused dramas at round two at Murray Bridge last weekend.

WEM is confident that results from this weekends round being held at Wonthaggi in Victoria will be available shortly after each race, but at this point in time is unsure if live timing will be available, though the aim is to have it back up and running for round four at Broadford on the 19th of May.

"WEM would like to apologise for the issue‰Ûªs we are having with live timing, what ever your frustrations are, I can ashore you mine are 10 fold, at round 1 it was a matter of the Telstra 3 g service going down, anyone that was at the track knew we couldn‰Ûªt event get text messages out." A statement from WEM posted on facebook today stated.

"Round two Murray Bridge issue was an issue created by hackers with our site, as many of you will have seen the MX Nationals and Motoonline sites were off line for some time.

"We don‰Ûªt believe we will have live timing this weekend, we are aiming to have the results go up within minutes of each race and should have full live timing back on line for round 4 Broadford May 19th.

"Again we apologise and are work very hard to fix the issue and protect it from happening again." The statement ended.
