WEM and MA make changes to the 2020 MX Nationals calendar and events

Posted:

Motorcycling Australia (MA) and Williams Event Management (WEM) are working together to ensure the sustainability of the Championship series into 2020 and beyond according to a press release issued today..

A number of factors have required a number of changes to the calendar and events the release stated.

Both MA and WEM had planned the MX Nationals Pro Am at Traralgon in February for the Australian Womens Vets and Under 19‰Ûªs, due to the extreme dry condition and high fire danger forecast they have cancelled the Traralgon event in February and will make an announcement about that event and the class in January, both are looking at were they can fit the classes in the MXN calendar.

The model that has been running over the last 5 years has had to see some major changes to fit within the current climate.

The series will be conducted over 6 weekends and 9 rounds, 3 double headers.

The series will see several changes in order to ensure the development of the model for sustainability and Club management into the future.

WEM will be dropping all back to back races, so all rounds will have 2 moto format only.

There are a number of other change in the works and will be announced in January.

The supplementary regulation will be released in the first week of February.
