WAMX Senior State Championship heads for Bunbury
Round 4 of the 2016 of the Make Smoking History WAMX Senior State Championship, is all pink in aid of supporting Breast Cancer at the Bunbury Motorcycle Club on Sunday July 24th.

The best in the South West marks the fourth stop on the series calendar and the tough sands will be a point‰Ûªs reward for the sand specialists before the remaining events on the hard packed surfaces. With riders, officials, volunteers and the venue wearing pink bras, riding gear and anything pink to support breast cancer, the invitation to all in the South West to come and enjoy some terrific racing.

This senior round will provide spectators with the support classes of the All Powers Challenge, Veterans and the MX1 and MX 2 Repechage, whilst the hard hitting championship classes have provided the best of WA racing with the Women‰Ûªs Class, Quads, and the prestigious MX1 and MX 2.

With some overseas racing in China and the Netherlands, Quad Class leader Luke Gaisford is poised to wrap up another championship, and although Luke Ovens took the top step of the podium at the previous round riders in contention include Ash Mills, Tyrone Robertson,Luke Capacreco and Michael Murphy.

With two round wins in the Womens Class, Jess Moore is in the box seat for another championship, with defending champion Chelsea Blakers on the improve with a podium at the previous round moving her into third on the championship behind young gun Lily Kent. Hannah Bagnall, Hannah Lovett and Casey Crisp picked up great results at the previous round and are sure to carry that momentum into this fourth round.

The MX2 Class sees Josh Adams carries the series lead with 57 points over 2011 champ David Birch in second and defending MX2 champ Dylan Heard silencing his critics with third in the standings after a stellar outing at Coastal Park. With Luke Davis absent, Jake Fewster was on the boil and will be looking to back that performance up, with Carson Bascombe and Brody Cassidy looking to pull some solid results.

In the MX 1 Class only two points split the lead from red plate holder Robbo Lovett from defending champ Dean Porter. Both riders keen to solidify their positions and gain maximum points in the sands at Bunbury before the hard packed surfaces. Holding down third in the standings is Charlie Creech from Mitch Taylor and Michael Mahon. With challenges likely from the local Bunbury riders, throw into the points chase Julian Cutajar, Chris Ruttico and Craig Bolton.

If you thought this year's competition has been tough, then wait until the next rounds unfold with Round four at Bunbury this Sunday. The racing has been fierce, with results coming down to the wire and tight fast racing the order of the day.

Head to Shubland Park Bunbury, wear pink and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
