During a week of intense and exciting competition, Mason not only claimed one but two national championships in the 100-125cc 13-u15 year‰Ûªs class and the 128-150cc/200-250cc 13-u15 year‰Ûªs class.
The 15-year-old won the hotly-contested 125cc 13-u15 year class by 5 points over Rhys Budd from New South Wales and Regan Duffy from Western Australia. The results were mirrored in the 250cc 13-u15 year class, with Mason winning by 5 points again over Budd in second-place and Duffy in third-place.
