Two-Stroke Mounted Joel Milesevic Races To MX1 Top Ten

Posted:

Full Force Racing components team rider, Joel Milesevic has fired his TM MX 300 two stroke to a top ten overall round result at the eighth round of the 2014 Monster Energy MX Nationals held at Raymond Terrace on Sunday the 3rd of August.

Milesevic kicked off the round with a solid 14th place qualifying position before putting in three consistent motos, finishing the day with 11-10-10 moto results.

‰ÛÏI had a pretty solid weekend at Raymond Terrace with three consistent moto‰Ûªs,‰Û
Joel Evans was on track for a season best performance until he was taken out of contention in a big first turn crash
FFRC‰Ûªs MX2 rider Joel Evans suffered his first tough day behind the bars for the 2014 season with his day coming to a premature end after he was caught up on a first turn crash in the second moto.

The day started on a high note for Evans when he put in his best qualifying effort for the season, finishing the morning session in 12th place and in a great position to take aim at his first top ten overall result.

The Queensland based rider then backed up his qualifying result in the opening race aboard his TM MX 250 two stroke, finishing in 11th place.

Unfortunately for Evans he was caught up in a big pile up exiting the first turn at the start of the second moto, hitting his head hard. Evans was able to remount his bike and though a lap down by the time he got going put on a charge before the effects of the crash took hold forcing him to slow down to pick up some points before being advised by RaceSafe to sit out the final moto of the day.

‰ÛÏThe weekend got off to a good start when I posted my best qualifying result for the year in 12th. ‰ÛÏ Evans explained. ‰ÛÏI was feeling confident coming into the First Moto and after getting hung up in the first turn I managed to make my way into 11th by the end of the Moto.

‰ÛÏI had a good talk to the Guys at Full Force and TM about a few things I could fix for Moto 2 and was ready to make it happen.

‰ÛÏUnfortunately I was caught up in a big first turn crash. In the crash I hit my head pretty hard and somehow ripped my boot half off. I got up put in two of the quickest laps I think I've ever done before I lost most of my vision out of my right eye and started seeing dots and lines in my other!.

‰ÛÏI knew it wasn't safe to keep pushing so I backed it right off and just rolled around to get some points.

‰ÛÏRace Safe examined me and came to the conclusion it was too dangerous for me to race the last Moto. I got really sick after the crash but am slowly starting to recover, Full Force Racing and myself will be at Gladstone Ready to Go.‰Û
Zaccari Luzzi secured a top 20 moto result with a 17th place finish in the day's final moto
Making his second appearance for TM Racing at the MX Nationals, Zaccari Luzzi, with the support of Andrews Motorcycle Products once again put in a steady performance to end the day in 21st position overall in the MX2 class aboard his TM MX 250 two stroke.

Luzzi improved in every outing throughout the day, finishing 25th in the opening moto, 23rd in moto two before cracking the top 20 in the final moto of the day with a fine 17th place finish.

FFRC and TM Racing Australia will now head to the final two rounds of the year in their home state of Queensland where they will fill extended line ups with TM supporting riders in both the two-stroke cup at both Gladstone and Coolum and the Veterans class riders at Coolum.
